Oh my! Spring is here again and now we have the LEGO Spring Festival Good Fortune set that was sent to me by LEGO through Brickcentral for a review! This set have 1021 pieces which includes some small spare parts. It comes with 5 builds that I consider “stand alone” which makes this set very versatile for photography!

The Fan with 2 magpies

I love this build! The design is so pretty and the added magpies adds the essence of life to it. The cherry blossom branch fits perfectly and it doesn’t make the build fragile. I knew this needs to be photographed under the Cherry trees!

A vase of fortune red fruit

I love that these are round printed LEGO pieces. I don’t think I will be able to put it on properly if it’s a sticker! Beautiful little vase that you can display anywhere!

The Persimmon fruit

This set comes with one life sized Persimmon Fruit that will never rot! It fits perfectly with the whole set and is one of those builds that are sturdy that you can put it on your bag, I did! Can’t eat it though, but it’s so pleasing to look at, so juicy!

Three golden ingots

Ah! And what’s the best way to wish someone good fortune? With golden ingots of course! I love how simple yet beautiful this build is. Another really sturdy and versatile build on this set.

Calligraphy pen with a scroll

I personally love Chinese characters because every stroke has its meaning! This symbol means “spring”! To create it on LEGO form is amazing, I wonder what other Chinese characters we can make with LEGO tiles!

The alternate fan build

You can also create another fan design with this set wherein you can remove the cherry branch with magpies and change it to golden scalloped design plates. This one gives me the “good fortune” feel because of the color gold, while the one with the magpies gives me the feeling of “love” or “new beginnings”.
