We invited minifigoncamera to do a review from a photographic perspective of the Minecraft set 21271 The Trial Chamber and this are his thoughts!
I just got the LEGO Minecraft 21271 The Trial Chamber Set, and I found a perfect place to photograph it. First of all I have to thank the BrickCentral team and LEGO for sending me this set and giving me the opportunity to review it.

This set has more details than I thought, I really like the colors, the copper and tuff walls are amazing for natural environments.

Minifigures
LEGO likes to give us new skins, since they spent years giving us only Steve and Alex, so I kinda like it, I wish it had leg printing like other sets, but this is perfectly fine, awesome for other photoshoots that I plan to do, the Breeze mob is awesome, as a Minecraft player I always wonder how they will reproduce the new mobs in LEGO and the Breeze is amazing in my opinion, but the skeletons are just regular ones, I wish they added the Bogged, which is a variant of the Skeleton made for the trial chamber, so that disappoints me.

My negative point about the set is that it’s a bit smaller than I thought, maybe was just perspective, since the box is kinda large, it would be even better if it was larger, so I could get more shots and more poses, and about the skeletons, it should be the bogged, we already have strays, but LEGO missed a good opportunity to expand the skeleton variants

Photoshoot
My first thought was “where am I going to photograph this set?” since the trial chamber is underground, then I remembered of a cool place in the Sarah Kubitschek Park in Brasilia, called “Castelinho“, that matched perfectly with the colors and brick textures of the set.

It was a very fun photoshoot, I had to use a warm LED to light the environment, so I could get some nice backlighting and a way to naturally light the torches, since I don’t have any Light Kits for LEGO.
But that LED was enough to bring the essence of darkness and warm lightspots that the chamber gives to us ingame.

Conclusions
Great set, this wave is awesome, the building and the photoshoot were very fun and I’d recommend it. Here is a Behind the Scenes, I only used my camera and a LED, very primitive way to photograph a set, but I love it
